Ruiqi Zhang (b.1994, Liaoyang), a media artist currently lives and works in United States. He received MFA in Kinetic Imaging from Virginia Commonwealth University and BA in Visual Communication Design from Luxun Academy of Fine Arts.

Ruiqi’s practice and research combine critical thinking about Internet culture and the complexity of contemporary moving image narrative. His work expresses the concern of Image democracy, media strategy, cultural and class divide under the dominant discourse.
